Wells Fargo & Co. (WFC) used a new metric focused on customer service to pay its branch employees in May, Reuters reported.
The new pay system is based on customer growth, service and usage of products, Wells Fargo told the Charlotte Observer in January.
Branch Banking Chief Mary Mack said the bank is looking at branch performance as it settles on which to close following last year’s fraudulent accounts scandal that rocked the financial institution and cost it $185 million in fines.
