Following earlier speculation that it might pursue the German market, Dimon finally confirmed the move with regional newspaper Handelsblatt on Friday, sharing that the US banking giant has “ambitions plans” for its arrival.
Chase’s European debut has so far only extended to the UK market, where it launched in September 2021 with the backing of 500 new hires.
“It has always been clear to us that we want to introduce Chase not only in the UK, but also in Germany and other European countries,” Dimon is quoted as saying by the German news outlet.
