Mastercard and Polish Payment Standard (PSP), the operator of mobile payment system BLIK, have teamed up for a paytech alliance.
Together, they will provide contactless payments to BLIK users at all Mastercard branded terminals globally, using Mastercard virtual debit cards tokenised by Mastercard Digital Enablement Services (MDES). This will provide BLIK consumers a POS option.
“BLIK users will be able to pay contactless soon, not only in Poland, but also globally. This is also the beginning of the way to offer BLIK payments to users of mobile bank apps internationally,” says Dariusz Mazurkiewicz, PSP’s president.
