Treasury yields stays steady as investors wait for Fed meeting to kick off

U.S. Treasury yields held steady on early Tuesday’s trade as traders waited for the Federal Reserve to begin its two-day meeting, where the central bank may offer clues on how monetary policy might evolve in the coming months.

What are Treasurys doing?

The 10-year Treasury note yield TMUBMUSD10Y, 0.596% was at 0.607%, while the 2-year note rate TMUBMUSD02Y, 0.144% fell 0.9 basis point to 0.147%. The 30-year bond TMUBMUSD30Y, 1.232% edged 0.3 basis point up to 1.255%. Bond prices move in the opposite direction of yields.
