Treasury yields tick higher as traders brace for 2-year debt auction

Treasury yields edged higher on Monday trading, ahead of a key debt auction that could indicate investors’ appetite for short-dated U.S. government paper.

The 10-year Treasury note yield TMUBMUSD10Y, +1.05% is up a single basis point to 3.064%. The 2-year note yield TMUBMUSD02Y, +0.44% sensitive to shifting expectations for interest rates, rose 1.7 basis points to 2.837%, while the 30-year bond yield TMUBMUSD30Y, +0.48% was mostly unchanged at 3.312%. Bond prices move in the opposite direction of yields.
