House approves $2 trillion coronavirus stimulus package, sending measure to Trump

In a quick voice vote on Friday, the House of Representatives approved a $2 trillion coronavirus stimulus package to help the U.S. economy cope with the pandemic, with the passage coming after a Republican congressman’s effort to slow down the measure flopped.

President Donald Trump is now expected to sign the package into law swiftly. The Republican-led Senate unanimously passed it late Wednesday.
