Biden ‘Compromises’ on 1 Infrastructure Bill, But ‘I’m Not Signing It’ Unless He Gets Part 2

“Today is a huge day for one-half of my economic agenda, the American Jobs Plan,” President Joe Biden told a news conference after announcing that he’s agreed to a bipartisan deal on physical infrastructure.

But Biden said he’s not forgetting the second, larger part of his “human infrastructure” agenda — the American Families Plan — where there is no compromise.

Democrats hope to pass that plan — including childcare, expanded, “free” education, “the caring economy,” clean energy, among other Democrat wish-list items — through reconciliation, which would require only 51 all-Democrat votes in the Senate.
