Banks Stocks Higher as September Jobs Report Misses Expectations

Bank stocks moved broadly higher in premarket trading Friday, Oct. 6, after September’s jobs report whiffed on expectations and contracted for the first time in seven years.

Shares of JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM – Get Report) gained 0.48% to $97.56 in premarket trading Friday while Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS – Get Report) stock was up 0.4% to $247. Bank of America Corp. (BAC – Get Report) shares moved higher 0.8% to $26.33, Morgan Stanley (MS – Get Report) stock was higher 0.58% to $49.92 and Citigroup Inc. (C – Get Report) shares gained 0.66% to $76.21. Wells Fargo & Co. (WFC – Get Report) shares traded up 0.11% to $55.45 premarket.
